Nancy Reid is the recipient of the F. N. David Award

It was announced during the Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM, August 1-6) in Washington D.C. that Prof. Nancy Reid, University of Toronto, has been awarded the Florence Nightingale David Award of the Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies (COPSS). Nancy is an SSC member and is well known to statisticians around the world. She has served the SSC in many capacities including as President. She was awarded the SSC Gold Medal during the 2009 annual meetings in Vancouver. The COPSS F.N. David Award is a well deserved honour and I like to congratulate Nancy on behalf of the SSC Executive, Board and all members.
